Sea Roguelike

Privacy Policy

Effective 6 October 2026

Sea Roguelike is a mobile game developed by Yevgen Shegal ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the game and its server handle, why, and how you can have it deleted. Questions: support@searoguelike.com.

You do not create an account with a name, email or password. The game signs you in anonymously and saves your progress on our server.

What we collect

DataDetails
Game identifiersA random identifier the game generates on first launch (not a hardware or advertising ID), a random account ID, and a generated player name such as "Captain 1234".
Game progress and activityYour fleet, captains, items, in-game currencies, voyages, battles, PvP results, rewards claimed, in-game purchases made with in-game currency, and when these happened.
PurchasesWhen you buy diamonds in the App Store, the signed transaction Apple gives the game: its transaction ID, the product, the quantity, the date, whether it was a sandbox (test) purchase, and later whether it was refunded. We use it to credit each purchase exactly once and to take back the diamonds of a refunded one. Payment itself is handled by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Platform sign-in (optional)If you link Google Play Games or Apple Game Center, the player ID that service gives us, so your progress can return after a reinstall or on a new device.
Technical dataYour IP address is used in memory to limit abusive request rates and is not written to our logs. Server logs record the request, its time, its result and your account ID, and are rotated automatically.
Support emailsIf you write to us, your email address and what you send.

We do not collect your real name, phone number, contacts, precise location or payment card details.

Why we use it

What other players see

In PvP, other players can be matched against a snapshot of your fleet, shown with your generated player name. Nothing else about you is shown to other players.

Advertising

Some versions of the game offer optional rewarded video ads from Google AdMob: you choose to watch a video and receive an in-game reward. When an ad is requested, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and information about the ad and your interaction with it. Where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent form first. Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.

Where the data is stored

The game server and its database run on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (EU). All traffic between the game and the server is encrypted (HTTPS). Encrypted database backups are stored with Cloudflare R2 and are kept for 14 days.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and do not share it for third-party advertising. Service providers that process data for us:

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we immediately erase your game identifier, platform sign-in links, sessions and all your game data: progress, items, currencies, voyages, transaction history and PvP fleets. We keep the random account number, the date of deletion and the records of App Store purchases (transaction ID, product, date, refund status) without any other link to you: they stop one purchase from being credited twice, and they may be needed for refunds and tax records. Players who already fought your fleet may keep a copy of it, with your generated player name, in their own battle history; it is not linked to your account. Backups containing the deleted data expire within 14 days.

Deleting your account

In the game: Settings → Delete Account. Without the game installed, see Delete your account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Write to support@searoguelike.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game, contact us and we will delete the account.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
